community. The Pillsbury Doughboy died yesterday of a yeast infection
and trauma complications from repeated pokes in the belly. He was 71.

Doughboy was buried in a lightly greased coffin. A bakers Dozen of celebrities
turned out to pay their respects, including Mrs. Butterworth, Hungry
Jack, the California Raisins, Betty Crocker, the Hostess Twinkies, and
Captain Crunch. The grave site was piled high with flours.

Aunt Jemima delivered the eulogy and lovingly described Doughboy as a
man who never knew how much he was kneaded. Doughboy rose quickly in
show business, but his later life was filled with turnovers. He was not
considered a very smart cookie, wasting much of his dough on half-baked
schemes. Despite being a little flaky at times he still was a crusty old
man and was considered a positive roll model for millions.

Doughboy is survived by his wife Play Dough, two children, John Dough
and Jane Dough, plus they had one in the oven. He is also survived by
his elderly father, Pop Tart.

The funeral was held at 3:50 for about 20 minutes.

My summer is pretty boring so far. Grandma came to visit...Mama had her birthday...won't say how old she is...

I hate it when you keep a diary or a blog and you never really have anything to say. During the school year I have plenty because of the observations of friends and teachers and whatever. But during the summer...nothing. I will be able to talk about my trip to Italy when I get back though...but that is in about 4 weeks!

Dogs are so weird...but I trust their senses...

My dog is acting really weird and it is scaring me...he went downstairs and looked out the window then ran back up, looked at us, ran back down, ranback up and looked at us. Then he did the same thing but with my window on the third floor. Over and over. We put him in his crate for dinner so he wouldnt be worried and gave him a treat...he didnt eat it. That NEVER happens. then after dinner I went up to let him out and he STILL hadn't eaten the treat...downstairs he kept weaving around the room, around the foot stools, the chairs, the tables. Then he ran up stairs and went around my room, under my bed etc. Now he is doing the same thing...and it started raining and thundering. Perfect. It is really scaring me...the way he looked out my window was like he saw something...lol it makes me think ghost, but I dont believe that...
I have no idea wy he is doing this...my mom made shrimp tonight and burned some garlic (i didnt smell it) and he hates the smoke alarm sound and now associates smoke with loud annoying noises. My dad is like, maybe he doesnt like the smell of shrimp. He is hiding under my desk and sitting by my feet now...but he keeps getting up and looking out..

I am so worried! Am I overreacting? Do any of your animals do this?

He was doing so well, he is such a neurotic animal, and he was doing so well..He does this submissive peeing thing and I went to pet him today and he peed...he NEVER does that for me..He has been weird all day. I am now staying up here with him so he doesnt totally weird out...any more than he already has..

when I went to France the second time
we were staying at this little Inn where we rented a gite, which is like renting a cottage.
it was run by these brittish people
and all the TV was in French, except for MTV which was what I watched because they had english songs obviously.
The MTV was German.
and this would play constantly
I would get so pissed because I totally hated the song.
I totally forgot about it until fifth grade
and my friend Julian Turosienski
started singing it during class.
and Oh My God.
it all came rushing back.
It was so funny.
Then the next year, I got an iPod and went and bought the song.
I don't remember why.

Summer

as many of you know, my family and I go to Massachusetts every summer. I reall love it. First there is the 2-4 dy road trip up. I bring a small amount of "stuff". It always feels so relaxing. taking walks arounf the neighborhood, sleeping in my double sized bed (compared to my twin here) and getting away from all the drama of middle school. Then there is hanging out with my dear soudin, Lizzy, and taking care of my nephews. Good times...

Crying..

I am crying too much these days. I cry when it rains. I cried at Spider Man 3. I cried during E.T. I cried at the end of the Grey's Anatomy Finale. I hardly keep up with that show. Before that, I saw the last like 60 seconds of the finale of Ungly Betty. I had absolutely NO CLUE as to what was going on and I cried. I cried watching South Park a month ago. I cry at the most random things. I cry listening to songs. I cried watching Scrubs today. I have NEVER been this emotional. Never this emotionally connected to the world. I dont know whats wrong with me.

And if you have nothing supportive to say to this post, dont bloody say it. I am not in the mood. Nothing critical, nothing sarcastic. I would beg, but I dont do that kind of thing.

I think everybody has a bit of a care about what others think of them. It is just a matter of how much attention they pay it. For example, I dont really care what people think of me, but I can if I want to...like, I am concious of it, but I dont pay attention to it. Then there are people who only ay attention to that, and their grades drop, or whatever. They are so preoccupied with what others think fo them that is all they think about. I have always prided myself on my individuality and lack of self...conciousness? no, my lack of care about what people think of me lol, but now I realize that I do have a art of me that cares, but I dont pay much attention to it.

Ok, I am starting to repeat myself, which means that the thought has been completed. I hate it when something is said, and then people go on and make it more complicated than necessary to make themselves sound smarter...

Proud vs. Vain

I went to see Pride and Prejudice (a stage version) and the theatre the other night, and at one point, one of the Bennet sisters (Mary) spoke of the difference between vanity and pride. As we all know, I am a very proud person. I am also compassionate, so it is not like I am self centered...but I have been called vain by some people. Mary's character said that her observtions were that pride is simply enjoyment in one's accomplishments, whereas vanity was like...needing other people to think that you were wonderful, or something along those lines. let;s see what the dictionary says...

I am proud without needing people to tell me all my good characteristics...it really bites when people say you are vain, especially when you know they are wrong. I mean, who know you better than yourself? And then, when that person tries to make up with you and is all like, oh, well how's life? I think we should try to be friends, and then that person goes behind your back and talks about how silly you are...

the reason I should never be president is because today I had a political problem with something at my school and I ended up in tears.

It isnt fair when something is going wrong and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it, especially if you are the in the right on that one. I mean, there is NOTHING I can do. I might as well not worry about it. Summer is almost here, I will be able to relax.

surprisingly, my life made a lot of sense for the most part last night. I got a lot done, and am all packed up for school already.

I wonder what makes us frazzled or organized. Can anybody be frazzled? Can anybody be organized? Or is it a matter of our outlook onto life?

For example...You have two different single mothers. I choose single moher because it is apparently a very stressful situation ot be in--frazzling, one might say. They have the same kids, the same income, the same everything, but they have two different outlooks on life. The one who thinks that she is in this horrible situation and can never get anything done is the frazzled one. She doesn't have enough faith in herself. The other one thinks Look, I have a hard life, but it was my choice. I cant do anything about it now, so lets make the best of it! she will or is more likely to be organized and have better, more thought out life than the frazzled single mother...

Oh dear, I might be turning into Julianne...silly analogies...
So my goal now is to say that I can do everything and more, so I will get it all done in a timely fashion and have relaxation aka chill time.

lol, this is a random post because I feel insane today...'tis the full moon, and I am a woolf, so there! I have the right!!

oh, and just to update you on my life, it is REALLY hot right now, and it sucks, and my finals are coming up. blech. I am going insane, and cant wait for this weekend, which is really busy. I have decided to spend less time on the computer and more designing the house I will build for myself when I am a rich famous movie actress.

My new favorite word is heinous.

pretty or beautiful?

imo, pretty is more like cuter, wheras beautiful is more like stunning. I hate to use stunning, because prettiness can be stunning, as well. It is really hard to define these things...lets see what the dictionary says..

Do you ever

Do you ever get that feeling that you should be having "a feeling" but you dont know what the feeling is or if you even have it as opposed to creating it for yourself? I have that feeling tonight...I cant sleep, and I feel like my life is not really going anywhere..but then, I think about it more, and I have great friends and wonderful parents, a great family, and a lot to be thankful for...then why do I feel like this? Like what? You know..No, I dont know...

the thing is, I know I feel a certain way, I suppose you could call it melancholy, but I really cant define it, and worse I can't say what is causing it, which leads us to the worst thing of all. Usually, you cant find an answer without a question, so I have no way of not getting this feeling becuse I dont know what the feeling is. It could be foreboding, loneliness, hapiness (in a really weird form), anger (again, in a really weird form), etc. My current hypothesis is that I feel like this month I am pretty inactive. I am not doing anything to help what I want to do with my life, other than school, which is dragging along horribly...I am happy though..I mean, most of the time. Now, I am not happy or sad...like I said, I cant define this feeling...thoughts?

Chivalry

I know that chivalry in modern times is sometimes considered to be degrading to women, but just because a woman CAN open a door doesn't mean she HAS to. I guess I a romantic, longing for the olden days, lol. It's just that none of my guyfriends really do stuff like that...we are more just equal, but can't we be equal and still have him hold the door for me or whatever? Same with dating, the boy asks the girl out. All power to women who have the courage to ask a man out, but I can't do it, and again, I am a romantic traditionalist with that kind of thing.

cool vs. uncool

ok, so my school dance was last night, and I saw all these little sixth grade girls. There seems to be a huge gap between their maturity and our maturity, and I dont hold it against them, it is just interesting to see the difference. Anyway, one thing I hate is people who try to be so cool. Like, whatever it is, making weird poses for pictures, etc. Almost all of the girls I saw were doing that. It made me so angry. This is my approach to cool and uncool. there is no such thing, people just made those terms up to make themselves better than anybody else. A thing can be cool, but not a person. Things dont have varying personalities... SO now to decide if we are all cool, all uncool, or all just--there. I cnat decide. I mean, it doesnt matter, does it? are there any things that would determine which to be?

Tabloids...Celebrity...it kind of trails off into it's own thing...

I was buying some food for my solar cooker project in Math class, and wen to the check out to pay (obviously). As always, there were big, bright tabloids, with huge words emblazoned on the front!!!!!!!!! There were such stories as BRITNEY'S $130,000 ALL FOR K-FED!!!, and CUTEST BEAR ON EARTH!!!, and TOM FEARS THE WORST!!! printed across the top of a picture of him and Katie Holmes "canoodling" for the papparrazzi. Looks to me like a happy couple...

What I don't understand is what really attracts people to these magazines. I have given in once or twice and bought them myself, and I STILL don't know. True, they are entertaining, but is that the only thing? We are in no way connected to these peoples' lives. You don't see "Real Life Tabloid" publishing articles about the random high school girl cheating on her boyfriend with the next door neighbor, so why should we care what happens to celebrities? What makes our idea of a celebrity a celebrity? The definition of celebrity (from the Oxford American dictionary built into my laptop) is a famous person. Don't you respect the majority of famous people? Couldn't your nobel prize winning scientist be defined as a celebrity? Why don't you read about his or her multi million dollar surgery?

I think it is the celebrities who make the most noise. People like (no offense to them) Brittney Spears, Tom Cruise, and cute bears. OK, just kidding about the bear part. They don't talk. But you knew that. Anyway, I was standing there in line, about to make an amazing discovery oabout tabloids, but then my dad said, "OK, Sarah, let's leave now." Figures.


HAHAHAHA, did I get you that time, too? I was only partially kidding arround. I still don;t know what it is about taboids that makes them so attractive, or why we want to hear about the latest Hollywood scandal. It is only depressing, in my opinion. But next tim eyou reach for that tabloid, whether it is the one that you regularly get and are loyal too, or the one that is the cheapest that you buy to prevent boredom on a quick flight, think about why you are buying it. Then come back and comment me telling me why! =P
